As of 27th January, Hot Rum Cow will no longer be available as an App from iTunes. Back in August 2011, we decided to launch a replica magazine app as a way for readers outside of the UK to get their hands on an affordable version of the magazine.

Fast-forward 18 months and the tablet landscape has changed. Now Android and Windows have a market share, and the cost of publishing to all these platforms isn’t sustainable for a magazine of our size. We would rather invest this money in great content and our top-quality printed product.

The solution

So, after many emails asking if we plan to launch the magazine for Android, we’ve come up with a simple solution. Starting today we’re offering back issues of the magazine as PDFs that will work on tablet, mobile, or desktop, regardless of which operating system you use. Please visit our shop page and simply click on ‘BUY PDF’ to get your back issues online for just £3. Once you’ve downloaded your PDF, you are free to move it around any of your devices, no App required.
